Weekend in the Lanzo Valleys at the gates of Torino. On 29 – 30 June and on 7 – 8 September, come and visit the Lanzo Valleys using a combination of train and shuttle, for a slow and sustainable tourism.
A two-weekend proposal at the discovery of Valle Granda, Val d’Ala, Valle di Viù, Valle del Tesso e Malone, for a travel experience mixing art and history, food and wine and a wide array of outdoor activities. Starting point the Torino Dora railway station to reach the station of Lanzo and Ceres. The Ceres station will host the suggestive photo exhibition “Imago – Il Viaggio della Sindone” (Imago – The Journey of the Holy Shroud), realized by Marco Ansaloni in collaboration with National Geographic Italia. The 27 shots narrate an ideal journey from Jerusalem to Torino, which is deeply connected with the representations of the Holy Shroud to be found in Ceres (Voragno), Lanzo, Ciriè and Balme.
The initiative is part of the experimental project “Valli di Lanzo. La Palestra Outdoor di Torino” (Lanzo Valleys – The open – air training ground) promoted by Regione Piemonte and coordinated by VisitPiemonte and the Local Tourist Board TurismoTorino e Provincia, in collaboration with GTT – Gruppo Torinese Trasporti, Consorzio Operatori Turistici Valli di Lanzo, GAL Valli di Lanzo, Ceronda e Casternone, Unione Montana Alpi Graie, Unione Montana di Comuni delle Valli di Lanzo, Ceronda e Casternone, CAI Sezione di Lanzo Torinese e Associazione Sentieri e Saperi senza Barriere.
