The Cuneo National Chestnut Fair

Body

From 19 to 21 October the National Chestnut Fair comes one again in Cuneo. Considered one of the most important food festivals in Italy, the fair “Made in Granda” (“the Big province”, as the Cuneo province is called) will be a 3-days lively event invading the main squares and the streets of the historic town center, with autumn fragrances, colors and flavors. The Fair is a unique showcase of the excellent food and wine products and ancient tradition of the land with hundreds of producers coming from all over Italy and Europe. That means not only chestnut, the first Cuneo’s PGI product, but a great festival that makes quality its flag, where the best certified products are presented to visitors with delightful tastings and workshops. A wide space is given to crafts, shows and concert, cultural and tourism initiatives. A must-event for every gourmet and for anyone who wants to experience a weekend immersed in the genuine food heritage and atmosphere of Cuneo. www.marrone.net
