Van Dyck at Galleria Sabauda Torino

From November 16, 2018 to March 17, 2019 at the Sale Palatine of the Galleria Sabauda an extraordinary exhibition highlights the artistic adventure of Antoon van Dyck, the Flemish artist who revolutionized the art of portrait in the 17th century. With four thematic sections the exhibition presents masterpieces that are unique for their formal elaboration, chromatic quality and high elegance of details. More than 50 paintings and engravings from the most prestigious international museums are in a fascinating dialog with the relevant works belonging to the Galleria Sabauda’s collection, telling history, custom and court representation style along with the exclusive relationship that Van Dyck, considered the best pupil of Rubens, had with the Italian and European courts. /
