“Acqui Terme | The wines of the land meet traditional flavours. Original interpretations and unusual combinations"
Monferrato and Acquese in all their wine and food facets are at the centre of the round table scheduled for Friday 25th September at 6 pm in Palazzo Robellini.
The event commissioned by the Piedmont Region's Division of Agriculture and Food is organised by VisitPiemonte and is sponsored by the Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG Protection Corsortium in collaboration with the "Terme e Vino" Acqui Regional Winery; it is one of the unmissable events of the 1st edition of "Acqui Wine Days", which is taking place from 25th to 27th September, in the ancient city of Bollente.
The President of the Region and the Assessor of Agriculture and Food who inaugurated the event also joined the round table.
Luisa Piazza, Director General of VisitPiemonte, illustrated how we can celebrate and promote food and wine tourism by showcasing products of excellence; Paolo Ricagno, the president of the Consortium for the Protection of Brachetto d'Acqui, told us all about the peculiarities of this vine variety, which acts a sort of ambassador of the Monferrato Acquese wine region.
Three young local restaurateurs also shared their insights: there was chef Federico Ferrari, who also curated the tasting in the region’s Acqui Terme Winery at the end of the event; Daniele Bianco of the Alice Bel Colle Winery located in the high Monferrato Acquese, and Alessandro Viazzo of the Poderi Viazzo Organic Farm, producers of the IGP Piemonte Tonda Gentile IGP honey and hazelnut variety.
